The Blazers and Oregon Arena Corporation were ranked number 39 out of 50 large companies in the Best Companies to Work For survey, the first year the company has received the honor.

Blazers Launch HDTV Cable Sports Channel
The Portland Trail Blazers today announced plans for the summer launch of Action Sports Cable Network, a high-definition cable TV sports channel. As a commitment to HDTV, ASCN will build a 53-foot state-of-the-art HDTV truck, the only one of its kind west of the Mississippi River.

Trail Blazers Sign Rod Strickland for Remainder of Season
The Portland Trail Blazers have signed veteran guard Rod Strickland for the remainder of the 2000-01 NBA season, it was announced Tuesday by Blazers President and General Manager, Bob Whitsitt.

Scottie Pippen Activated
The Portland Trail Blazers have activated forward Scottie Pippen and placed center Will Perdue on the injured list with a strained left hamstring. Pippen has been on the injury list since January 25 with a right elbow injury.

Detlef Schrempf Back in Action
The Trailblazers activated forward Detlef Schremf and placed Antonio Harvey on the injured list.

Blazers Donate $10,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs
The sale of the Can I Get a Headband CD, a joint project between the Blazers and Z100, has made $10,000 for the Boys and Girls Club of Portland.

On Nov. 15, Harry Hutt was promoted to Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of the Portland Trail Blazers and Oregon Arena Corporation.
